The house was built in 1908, is a shingled cottage in sanfransisco. Recently carried out the addition of new floor contains the Master Bedroom, Bathroom and Dressing Area with views of downtown San Francisco. At the center of the interior is new staircase to the third floor. The relationship between the stairs and a new double-height entry turns traditionally stacked floor plans to be interconnected and funny circulation space. Details such as open stairs and back-lit wall cabinets reinforce the idea of light and transparency developed in the new addition. In the Living Room, a new, Platonic and solid balance armored open fireplace and a statue of the stairs. Minimal palette of interior helps emphasize the play of light throughout the house and draw attention to the dramatic view beyond.
